“Did you see that?” a maid whispers quietly to her friend. ‘I know, the mirror just cracked.” the friend whispers back.“Maybe he broke it with that face of his.” the maid says with acid in her voice. The boy turns clenching his teeth and takes his hand away from the mirror before melting into the shadows and stepping out next to the maid. “What were you saying?” the boy asks cheerfully. “Oh-Ziven…I…I didn’t mean t…that.” the maid stutters. “Could you repeat that for me?” Ziven asks.“I said…maybe its because of your face…” she whispers quietly throwing a look at her friend. “That makes sense.” he says as he turns, and the maid sighs in relief. The boy whips around and grabs the maids neck slamming her into the wall. She coughs blood onto his hand, her eyes wide. A Baseer crawls on Ziven’s shoulder and watches the maid. “Do you think I wanted to be a sinner? Do you think I wanted to be Envy?” he growls at the maid tightening his grip. Her friend stands back watching in horror, not able to help.“No, I didn’t…mean…” the maid coughs. “Do know how much I lost because I had to stand by and watch as they killed Grace?!” he seethes at her. “No, I…” she tries as she grabs his arm. Blood runs down his cheeks from under his bandage. “You. Know. NOTHING.” he growls in rage as the shadows circle around his open hand and melt back revealing a black sword. “Please, have mercy…” she whispers as Ziven bows his head letting hair cover his eyes. A sickening smile spreading across his face. “What mercy could a Sin give you?” he asks as he angles the sword even with her heart as he brings his head up showing that the bandage had fallen off landing softly on the floor. The maid struggles against his grip and turns her head away from the sword and his closed eyes. “May…” he whispers childishly. “I envy you…”“What-?” she turn her head to look at him with a horrified expression as she meets his now open eyes. She lets out a blood curling scream as he digs the sword into her heart. Ziven closes his eyes and lets the corpse drop to the ground. “I envy you…because you are now forgiven of your sins.” he hisses as he melts back into the shadows, leaving a friend crying over her loss.
